bright and early.
Although it was a late night, the kids had all kinds of plans for the morning. And yes, that would be my Dad teaching the kids how to shoot a paintball gun ;) Kentucky style fun right there!
road trip.
On July 30th, we packed up and headed to Louisville. Such a cute view huh?! Don't be fooled…this is not a trip for the faint of heart with a certain 2 year old!!! Let the last photo be the evidence necessary! That is at the end of the trip when the other 3 were conked out, and yes she is PRETENDING to sleep while periodically squawking!
precious friends.
On July 28th, our precious friends who had just moved to Chicago came to visit and my kids were ecstatic. Mayleigh had surgery, so their Grandma was taking care of them and the Talty kids were eager to give Grandma a break! Posting this now, makes me a bit weepy! Miss these sweet friends so much! We had a blast and am happy to report that Mayleigh did great and is on the other side of surgeries doing amazing--she has a pretty amazing family surrounding her!
horse camp.
On July 28th, Cole headed off to her first year of horse camp. She was totally in her element and had a blast! I must admit, this momma missed her being around for the second week tho…after kid shine the week prior, I was ready for my girl to be home full time :)

kidshine performance.
Our little actress got 3 parts in the performance that followed the week of camp on July. She was Waldo, a dancer, and a Thing (Kindness)! So proud of the joy she gets out of this stuff…and her amazing talent of course :)
