Whew...he was sure worth it, but boy! I was glad to be holding him in this picture!

He, on the other hand, was not happy NOT to be held in this picture!

Now this is sweet! We were pretty cozy!

lunch.

The kids and I headed up to Subway for a fun lunch and then went flower shopping. These two sure are somethin'!

Cole, thanking God for her lunch and Camden, checking out what it was he should be thanking God for ;)

I would love to say these two have incredible manners, but it would seem that the two following pictures say otherwise!

I love these sweet moments!!!
I forgot to take pictures at the flower nursery, but I'm sure there will be many more to follow when we get to planting. Cole's pumped!

officially frustrated.

So I have passed the time in my pregnancy when I had Camden, and officially feel late now. Although, I am quite aware it could be a couple more weeks, I just thought I'd vent. Little man has been giving me pretty consistent contractions every evening, and then out of nowhere, they just stop :(
If I clean the toilets, showers, and floors, or vacuum and dust one more time before this baby comes I just might scream. Brian's been mowing like a crazy man to keep it cut just in case. Every closet and pantry has been cleaned and organized. I'm tired of projects...please baby boy, please come!
An all new nesting low was achieved this weekend however. On Saturday, I went by myself to a local hardware/farm supply shop and flower shop to get some plants for a new landscaping area in our backyard. The rain came, a tornado watch came, and then MORE, MUCH MORE rain came all while outside getting plants. Now, you may have a lot to say about my insanity at that point and unfortunately I was able to articulate just that even at that moment, but couldn't stop. I just HAD to finish what I started!
Just thought everyone could use a chuckle on a Monday morning at my insanity's sake!
Please pray for a timely and safe delivery of our "little" man (little would be good)...THIS WEEK!!! :)

p.s.
1-I am quite aware that babies come when they're ready!
2-I SHOULD be relaxing and enjoying this time before the baby comes!
3-He still may need more time in there!
Just thought I'd save you having to make those comments :)

engineer.

Yesterday morning, Camden insisted on wearing his engineer's hat. He found it at church as a part of some of the VBS stuff and didn't want to part with it, so what does our Children's Director do...she gives it to him of course :) He LOVES this hat and definitely thought he looked good in it yesterday.

storytime.

Daddy was kind enough to take a few pictures of Mommy and the kids a couple of nights ago. I am quite aware that these quiet evenings are coming to a close and I'm trying to enjoy each moment of it! It's not too difficult with these sweet kiddos!

honesty.

So just a few minutes ago, the kids and I were eating lunch together and Cole begins this discussion.
First a little background info... there's this little girl on her bus that we'll call Jessica, who has been habitually unkind to her--calling names, hitting and just being plain-o-girl kind of mean... if ya know what I mean.
So the conversation begins.

"Mommy, Jessica said she was much faster than me...that wasn't nice was it?"
"No honey, that wasn't a kind thing to say but did you show her God's love anyway?"
"Ummm, no I forgot...(short pause)...no actually I just thought she was being too mean!"

So, here's the thing--I had a hard time not laughing because of her sweet innocence! Because ya know I'm kind of tired of this little 5 year old chick too. However, every morning before she gets on the bus we pray together and a huge part of our prayer is for her to show God's love with everyone she's around.

So apparently we still have some teaching AND learning to do, but God bless Cole Brianne's honesty!!! And God help us all to love the unloveable!

sunday best.

This past Sunday, we had a family lunch after church. There was a bit of a wait, so the kids took the opportunity to hang out...outdoors of course :)

When I got my camera out, Cole said, "Here Mommy, I'll do a pose for you!" Love it...love her!

Camden wasn't quite sure about those poses ;)

What kind of trouble can we get in?

And every good day ends in an embrace...sweet siblings :)

outdoors.

This past Saturday, the Midwest cooled down a ton, but that didn't stop the Talty kids from spending the day outdoors.

...and yes, Cole is wearing her elbow pads while coloring with sidewalk chalk. I guess you can never be too careful :)

This girl is getting WAY more brave on her playground, and I'm not sure I like it!

birthday celebration.

We celebrated Cole's summer birthday at school this past Friday. She was so excited to share ice cream with her friends. (Because cake/cupcakes and balloons are not allowed in her school system...hardly a party, right?!) She picked out napkins...princess for the girls and monkey for the boys. She was very insistent that they needed different napkins. How thoughtful!

She was excited, but apparently not interested in smiling at the camera.

Camden was even able to get in on the fun!

And he was really into the fun!

REALLY into the fun! :)

The big girl with her class.

When did she grow up anyway???

bad timing.

So it would seem that my computer is sick...major bummer :( When I was finally getting caught up too...geesh. I can't catch a break! Oh well, we hope to have everything up and running soon! Sorry for the delay!

where's spring?

So I'm pretty sure my last post was entitled "spring", however, yesterday, we were wondering where Spring went and where Summer came from. Wow was it hot, but the kids didn't mind...a picnic lunch outdoors was definitely Camden's plan for the afternoon!

He was even willing to say "cheese" :)

It would appear that Cole was working on her tan! My kind of girl :)

spring.

Last night, we went to dinner as a family. Our days as a family of 4 are coming to a close and we're making the most of each moment! We are absolutely soaking in the signs of Spring...and loving it! What a beautiful night!

I love these smiles!

Try to focus on the really cute kids in this picture, not the big round body in the middle ;)
Pretty much too sweet for words!
I love you Brian, Cole, and Camden! You 3 bring so much joy to my life and I couldn't be more grateful that God has entrusted me with your lives!

pearly whites.

Cole and I had a dentist appointment on Monday morning and she was so brave. This was only her second appointment and she was a trooper! What a big girl!

Holding the fluoride for the hygienist.

She loved the little vacuum thing!

buddies.

This past Saturday, we had a day planned with our friends, Kim, Anna and Ryne. Kim woke up under the weather, so her mom, Grandma Sally, brought the kids. My kids were grateful! :) I'm telling ya, these kids, when you get them together, are a TRIP!!!

They were all holding hands everywhere they went :)

Pretty much too cute for words! When did they get so big?!

Grandma Sally was helping Camden with a bit of a better view!

Are you seeing a theme? The back of their heads!

Now here are the hams we all know!

Two peas in a pod!

A train ride and a snack...sure to quiet any child down!

As our zoo trip came to an end, we enjoyed a merry-go-round ride. What fun!

After our zoo trip, we were all hungry...Culvers always does the trick in our family!
