On August 30th, the kids and I headed to Louisville for a long weekend.  First stop...the splash park :)

I am quite aware that this girl will turn 2, then 3 and we will pay for all the "ooooing" and "awwwing" we do over her, but how do we not?! She's a hoot!

Case was a bit disappointed that they didn't get to paint at school every day, so that's just what we did when he came home :)

first day of prek.

This little ham was SOOOO very ready to go to his own school! On August 27th, he got that chance! I was still concerned that it was going to be a rough transition for him but he seemed pretty comfortable right off the bat. He still loves school because two of his best buddies, Chase and Olivia, are there!

When everyone else was rushing off to school, Case was insistent on doing some school work himself!

first soccer game.

On August 24th, Camden had his first soccer game. He and his coach caught a quick pic after!  The videos aren't stellar, but you'll get the idea.  He was quite the hustler!  Good scoring buddy!

I sure treasure my dates with this handsome guy!  Not sure I will ever be ready for another lady to sit across from him tho!

bedtime crazies.

I am very thankful that our kiddos are able to sleep in their own beds nice and snug but every once in a while, it's fun to just pile in for some snuggle time...or is it wrestle time?!

play date.

Case wanted a some company so we had our neighbor, Ruby, over for a little play date. These two are too cute!

home sweet home.

This my friends, is why we live on the best street in America!  We decided that the kids needed a party at the end of their first week of school!  So us mommas put our heads together and we came up with an ice cream and water balloon party ready to go when they got home!  That's the way to end a week!

little voice.

I dare you not to smile at this precious little one!  Love, love, love his sweet little voice!  I'm with you though Case...I don't like "lighting or funder" either!

(I have to remind myself today that this little one is indeed precious-he's exhausting me at the moment ;)

first full day.

These two were pumped about their first full day of school...Mommy on the other hand, just trying to keep a smile on my face!

But there was a sweet little lady ready to put a smile on my face when they were gone!

a new experience.

That afternoon, Cole started horse back riding lessons. Excited doesn't come close to explaining her anticipation for this day! She was in her element right away!

I think it is so awesome that Ms. Mindy prays with her before each lesson!

their return.

The kiddos arrived home at lunch time and it only made since to celebrate with popsicles! :)  Thumbs up were all around!  Case and I might have picked up lunchables for lunch too...why the kids love those things so much I have no idea, but they do!  And they were happy!
