Cole is so into phones right now. She holds them up to her ear (actually it's the back of her head) and says what sounds like, "Hola" instead of Hello. Our friends at the Mexican Restaurant think she's so smart! Nana was so gracious as to let Cole play with her phone even though, who knows who she was calling! Doesn't she look like a big girl in that picture of her walking?!
We spent one day in Kentucky on the lake. As you can see, the life jacket was not a hit. She pretty much hated it--she acted like we put her in a body cast. She did enjoy the rest of the time on the boat however. After lunch and some cruising around, Cole took a good nap on Mommy. Thanks for the ride Papaw!
The zoo has a water park as well, so we spent some time cooling off in there at the end of the day. I thought Cole would be afraid of the spraying water, but she loved it. She kept trying to stomp on the water as it would spray up. If you haven't noticed, Cole seems to be a little fish--she loves water!
Cole had a fun filled day at the zoo. It was a beautiful mid 70's day full of sunshine and a light breeze. Cole had a giant orangutan that climbed all the way over to where we were standing and he watched Cole for a minute...Cole was afraid at first and held on tight, but then started waving and said "Hiiii" with her good ol' southern draw. We rode the train, watched the baby elephant play with his mom, fed the ducks, and she was exhausted.
We went to open gym and Cole had quite the time on all of the inflatables. She loved the ball pit, trampolene and slide, but didn't so much like climbing the wall with Mom :)
Cole and I also did some visiting with some friends. We saw a couple of my high school girlfriends, Katie and Nikki, and Steven and Lindsey Clem, college friends, drove from Lexington to come and see us. Thanks girls, and Steven:), for visiting with us. We miss you guys so much and it was so much fun to catch up with all of you!
Cole loves Aunt Crista's teddy. This is the teddy that Brian and I made for Crista to tell her the name of our daughter, so the teddy's name is Cole Brianne. No wonder the love was so instant between the two of them.
Cole and I went to Kentucky while Daddy was in North Carolina with the youth group last week. We visited with Nana, Papaw and Aunt Crista. She was such a good girl and we took lots and lots of pics, so here they come. We'll start with little miss strawberry shortcake...(note our matching outfit, her fascination with her tongue, and her ever present love of flowers! :)
