our babies.

One thing I NEVER have to wonder is if these two love each other.

one.

It's been a year...ALREADY??? This little guy had a lot of fun too! What can I say, my kids love the camera and all the attention that goes along with it. These cheeks are hard for me to resist :)

three.

We had the kids' pictures taken again last week. Our little princess will be 3 in a couple of weeks, but in these pictures it seems more like 13.

job well done.

Brian and I are SO grateful for the time away that we had, but even more grateful for the way in which our kids were cared for! It would appear from these pictures on our way home that our kids had their share of fun...I'm wondering if Nana and Papaw's afternoon looked similar to this after we left. (Thank you Aunt Crista who spent a lot of time helping out too, but seemed to escape the camera! :)

happy birthday daddy.

We had a little birthday party with Daddy last Sunday where Nana made a special Chocolate Mocha cake and Cole helped to blow out the candles. She was quite insistant about their being TWO candles-one for her to blow out and one for Daddy to blow out.
Happy Birthday Daddy!

Great team work :)

what seems like moments...

...has actually been 7 YEARS!!! While we were in Louisville, we visited the church Brian interned at (7 years ago) to celebrate with them their 10 year anniversary.
The kids made themselves at home--as usual!

birthday surprise.

Brian's friend, Chris, from Milligan and I pulled a slick one over on Brian. Chris met us for breakfast one morning while we were in the Smokies and then the boys played golf. I thought Brian would get a kick out of having a boys' day on vacation :) Thanks for coming all that way Chris!

no bribery necessary.

He did this on his own accord. I really love how it looks as if the gorilla is leaning in towards him...HA!

big chair.

There's not much to say about this picture, just that it was a REALLY big chair and we thought it was funny.

plum tea room.

Our first lunch stop was this sweet little tea room (Brian's pick by the way) in the art district. They are famous for their plum tea...yum!

home sweet home.

So this is where we called home for a few days last week...it was pretty sweet! We were so grateful for the time away!

We watched 3 movies while we were there...a feat in and of itself.

Probably Brian's favorite room in the entire cabin!

Brian's second favorite spot in the entire cabin.

i love view.

Brian and I had the opportunity last week to get away for a few days. As you've seen in previous posts, the kids were in good hands and we were able to relax kid-free for almost 4 days. We rented a cabin in the Smokey Mountains.
I Love View was the name of our cabin and the VIEW we did LOVE! These are pictures from our deck...not too shabby :)

even this.

Even grocery shopping was fun with Nana and Papaw! Nana said that the kids giggled at one another the whole time through the store, just tickled to be in that little car. What a clever invention!

no wonder.

No wonder our kids didn't miss us while we were away. These are the kind of things they did EVERY day! Don't they look like they're having a ball?!

Nana told me that she had to get in the tubes herself, because Camden was getting a little too adventurous and making her nervous--go figure!
