Pumpkin Patch

Our family took a trip to a pumpkin patch and apple orchard on Monday. Crista was still in town, so she got to go with us as well. Cole loved it all, the horse ride, pumpkin patch, apple donuts, but most of all, she loved the gravel path that took us out to the patch. That's right, the gravel and dirt...we could have saved some time and gone over a couple of lots from our house to a construction site and Cole might have been just as happy.

Boo at the Zoo

Last night, Crista, Brian, Cole and I went to Boo at the Zoo. It was the perfect night for it. Cole had fun trick-or-treating, watching the animals, riding the carousel and playing with her girlfriends, Mabry, Emma and Anna. By the end of the night, you will see that she was quite exhausted.
Just a side note, we all made quite an accomplishment last night as well. All of our families went out to dinner together for the first time in more than a year and a half. What started out as a small group of 8 has now multiplied into a group of 16 (when our baby is born.) There were 4 nearly 2 years olds and 3 newborns along with the 9 adults...it was crazy, but we had a ball!

Youth Camp

Crista came in town last week and Brian was going to be out of town for youth camp this past weekend, so Crista and I decided to surprise Brian and go to the camp for the day. Cole had lots of fun...well, to be honest, we ALL had lots of fun. She got to play in the mud, ride in a boat, ride on a huge slide and just enjoy being in the outdoors, which is her favorite place to be.

Vacation Part 3

So the last stop on our vacation was Louisville for my cousin, Andrew's wedding. It was beautiful and the family cleaned up well too! :) The day after the wedding, Cole enjoyed Chick-fil-A ice cream with her Aunt Crista and the beautiful fall weather in the leaves. She even helped Daddy rake the leaves. What a big girl!

Vacation Part 2

Our next stop was South Carolina. Cole had lots of love to spread around. Granpa's rally beard was out in full force...GO TRIBE!
They refinished a wagon for Cole that Brian's Grandma Talty gave him for his first Christmas and Cole loved her wagon rides, although that is quite the frown we got from that bundle full of attitude. :)
Cole also had some really good quality time with her Uncle "Dan-dy" and "Bren-ben" over the few days. Somehow, Mimi and Brendan escaped most of our pictures, so we'll have to get some from their camera and post later!

Vacation Part 1

On our way to Tennessee, we stopped in Louisville to rest up and Cole cuddled up with her Aunt Crista.
Our next stop was Johnson City, TN where we visited our college friend Chris who so graciously housed us. Cole warmed up to him pretty quickly as well.
Finally, in Tennessee, we visited our church and our precious friend Mr.Bush. He is a man of so much wisdom and it was a joy to be with him.

Carousel with Nana

My mom came in town before we left to go out of town and we stopped by the mall before coming home from the airport and Cole just HAD to ride the carousel. She loved it, so much in fact that when we passed by it the second time, she squealed, "be-appy" to me as I was holding her and when I told her that we weren't going to ride it again, she looked at Nana, put her arms out for her, and squealed, "Nana". She's a smart girl, if it fails with Mommy, ask Nana ! :)
