a whale of a time.

When we got to Mimi and Granpa's, the kids wasted no time finding the fun.

normal?

This is normal right? My kids LOVE to wrestle. Good thing they have young grandparents!

aunt cousin.

My sweet cousin Brianna is having a baby girl, August Caroline, in less than 3 weeks and we are SOOO excited. We've had trouble with what to call our cousins Brianna and Lauren with the kids because they are technically second cousins to the kids, but are more like sisters to me, so we've borrowed a title from our Mamaw Williford. Mamaw's sisters used to call each other Aunt Sister, so I'm going with Aunt Cousin :)
Anyway, check out Aunt Cousin...isn't she glowing?! I love you Bri (and you too Jordan) and we can't wait to meet Baby August!

sumo slide.

Nana topped the charts with this slide...I can't compete with that in our backyard! Cole LOVED this slide, but Camden, well he preferred the baby pool.

Here's a little video of the fun.

Climb back up :)

Waiting for Sissy to come down the slide.

updating.

Just so you, know...I have about 346 updates to make. Okay that could be a bit of an exaggeration, but I have a lot to catch up on! We've been to Louisville for a short visit, South Carolina for a week with a wedding and even had a little birthday girl thing going on. I'm going to do my best to get caught up in the next few days and try to go in chronological order. So here we go...

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to a really amazing man! I honestly am so blessed to have such an amazing husband and father to my children.

Brian, watching you love our kids is an incredible experience. I am so grateful for you!
Happy Father's Day to our dads as well. We wouldn't be the parents that we are today if it weren't for these two amazing men.
Thank you for loving us, our kids, and most importantly, our moms!

zoo.

A couple of weeks ago, Cole and I went to our zoo with some of our neighbors while Camden took a nap at home with Daddy. (They met us later on the merry-go-round as you'll see in the last pictures.)
I thoroughly enjoy taking the kids out one at a time--I feel like I get to really enjoy each moment.
This particular day, Cole was just as sweet as could be and her and Mommy had a really great day at the zoo!

She watched the merry-go-round go round and round and round.

Checkin' out the meerkats.

Cole and Cade (one of our next door neighbor boys) having a chat with the guinea pigs.

Doesn't she look SO peaceful on the train...check out what she was looking at behind her in the picture below this one :)

Gotta love the boys!!! These are 4 of our neighbor boys. (Julian, Caleb, Cade, and Owen)

Finally her turn on the merry-go-round.

Camden's first experience on a merry-go-round...didn't go well. I tried standing with him, but that didn't work. I tried putting him on the panda in my lap, but that didn't work. Finally, I resolved to hold him while we went round and round--but he still wasn't sure about it :)

picnic.

After Cole's first day at gymnastics, we took a picnic lunch to a park near church. It was unusually cool for this time of year, but it was still a beautiful day.

gymnastics.

We decided to put Cole in gymnastics this summer. We think she loves it so far. All I know is that I can't get enough of my sweet little girl in that leotard :)!

Listening to directions.

She was ON THE MOVE the whole time.

Hangin' out on the balance beam.
Cole's favorite part of gymnastics...the popsicle!

vacation bible school.

Our church's VBS started this past week and continues once a week for about 5 weeks. Cole absolutely loved it--and Camden had quite the time as well!

Yum...snack time!

He thought he was big stuff!

What is it with our kids and microphones?

more playground fun.

Last weekend, when Nana and Papaw were visiting, we enjoyed A LOT of time outside...the playground happened to be the area of choice.

Who said you ever really have to grow up. It looks as if the kids are enjoying this almost as much as Papaw!

I can always count on a smile from little missy.

sad!

happy!

a very big tree.

Who would have known that our kids would have been entertained by a tree for this long--that's one way to pass the time at our many graduation party stops!
They both look like they're trying to figure out a way to climb it.
