firestation trip.

Back this summer a friend of ours invited us to a tour of the fire station. A special opportunity that is usually reserved for field trips with schools so were SO excited to try it out!

So the other part of this story is that this was Day 2 of potty training Camden, and in the middle of the tour, Camden screams, "I NEED TO GO TINKLE"!!! (and yes, this poor boy sometimes says tinkle because that's what his sister calls it...at least he knows he doesn't wear "panties" now! That was quite the learning curve too :)
The sweet firemen moved like it was a 5 alarm fire to help me get him to the potty, then celebrated with us when we returned with the good news ;)

I think this fireman really liked Case...he was such a great sport with him! And Case was LOVIN' this!!!

Our church hosted the annual Park Singers show in the church lawn this summer, and the kids had a ball as usual!
Although, it seemed as if they were too busy to actually watch the show ;)

These kinds of fairs make my skin crawl...germs, sweat, dangerous carny rides, etc. Just makes this OCD mommy a bit nervous! At least, I can call a spade a spade! ;)

Despite my nervousness, the kiddos had a blast!!!

Overall, Cole did a fantastic job during the wedding! She did her job with poise!--except for the few times she was motioning to me that she was dying of thirst. Funny to imagine...even funnier in person!!! :)
My personal favorite part of her "performance" was the spin move she did before she walked out in the recessional with the boys. Looked as if she was on a runway!--priceless!!!

It was one of the HOTTEST days all summer...sticky and humid, so we were all glad to have some refreshment after the wedding.
