another party.

Sydney turned two a couple of weeks ago, so the Spohns once again, geared up for this crazy group! Happy Birthday Syd!

Cole took her mark right from the beginning.

I think her and Annie would live in the barn with those cats!

Now Camden...again?! I guess she is the birthday girl!

Time for the pinata!

Cole and Kristin hangin' out on the swing... with the kitty of course!

Now this is some group of crazies! Can you see the mess we've made in their playroom in the background?!

The "little" ones were eating too!

I think there was more playing than eating going on!

Who gave a microphone to this kid?!

This was by far my favorite part of the night. I had a video of it and lost it I guess, but these kids played ring around the rosies probably 25 times and died laughing each time!

Check out that cake...great job Kimmie!

Should I be concerned?!

Thanks for another fun party Team Spohn!!!

carnival.

Our town has a little carnival each year, and Cole was finally at the age where she could ride the rides--Camden, however, was at the age where he just really WANTED to ride the rides!

He was pretty happy spectating with a corndog in hand!

Cole's first rollercoaster ride! She was pretty excited about it and we thought she was going to fly out of it!

The sweet little girl in front of Cole was having a lot of fun too!

I'm pretty sure he was watching the rollercoaster :) Maybe next year Bubba.

Daddy and Cole had a blast on the bumper cars--Camden yelled on the sidelines the WHOLE time. He REALLY wanted to do that!

Cole had the job of pointing to the cars she wanted Daddy to hit.

date night.

While Daddy and Cole went camping, Camden and I went on a little date of our own. We headed to Panera and Target. I know...it's WAY less exciting than camping, but hey, Camden loved the attention!

camping date.

A couple of weeks ago, Daddy took Cole on her first ever camping trip! She's been SO excited about the idea of camping since our winter trips to Target where she was introduced to the "camping stuff" aisle.

Her and Daddy had a really special time! And I am so grateful that our kids have such an incredible daddy that treasures his time with them!

Note Daddy's packing style...hey whatever works!

She HAD to take her backpack!

She was so patient sitting there, huh?!

What a big helper!

She was excited about cooking!

Chef for the night.

The finished product of roasting her hot dog--she looks happy :)

When I saw this picture, I cracked up! What a little princess with all of her pink stuff and furry friends around her :)

A friendly game of Go Fish--I think they were having fun. Check out this girls' smile!

Good Morning, Daddy! This is the face he saw around 6 am the next morning.

Cole really loves to "hike"! Good thing she's tough!

Nothing like a morning stroll to the lake.

I think she was a little tired on the way home :)...

...so Camden and I met them at McDonald's on their way home! What a way to end the trip!

rercharged.

I got one of the biggest treats I've had in a long time and it was "just what the doctor ordered"! My childhood friend, Nikki (baby boy:)and Madalyn, came all the way here to visit us!!! I was SOOOO excited to have them here in our home and it was SOOOO generous of Nikki to drive all this way with a toddler and baby "in tow". As you will see by the ENORMOUS amount of pictures below, we had a lot of fun crammed into several days!

Nikki was inducted quickly!

What a great sport!

We had dinner at our favorite Mexican place and Madalyn LOVED the salsa!

Next came a visit to the zoo...

Meet Lucy...Lucy the Llama!

...and a ride on the merry-go-round.

And a visit to the museum.

And A LOT of playing outside!

Camden really likes Nikki!

Of course we had to have snacks outside!

What a good sport! You're the best Nik!

Madalyn loved the swing...

...and the playhouse!

This is Cole's new inventive way of sliding.
Nikki, thank you thank you thank you!!! It was such a rejuvenating time for us here! We loved having you guys here and would love the company more often! Love you!
