three amigos.

Three will soon be four, so we took the opportunity to grab a couple of shots of these three siblings, buddies, friends, enemies, partners, etc etc. ;)  Light was not in our favor...we actually were closing down the place with not much light, but cute subjects none-the-less!

family photo shoot.

I am typically the one with the camera in hand and therefore have very few pictures of myself in my current state, so we decided to head out for a quick family photo session.  Although I DESPISE being in front of the camera, I know I will want these pictures in the future, so Brian made it happen!

rise and shine.

Camden, our early riser, woke Daddy and Cole up by 6:00 am and their day began :)

First stop was coffee, breakfast and coloring...then on to a hike down to the lake.  After they got all packed up, they headed to a near by playground and finished off their adventure with pancakes at McD!  What a fun time for this crew!

camping 101.

Daddy ventured out with Cole AND Camden a couple of weeks ago for Camden's FIRST camping experience! Cole was eager to show him the ropes!

An apple for the road and a lump in Mommy's throat as she watched her precious cargo leave in that dangerous vehicle loaded down with the necessities ;)

They got all set up and started cooking some dinner.

Our neighbors recently put a pool in and we were anxious to try it out! We had to capture a picture of Camden with all of his "necessary" equipment he wouldn't leave the house without ;)

report card day.

On May 17th, Daddy was home with us to celebrate several things! We started with Daddy's birthday breakfast, which was his request, banana bread. And presents from Mommy and the kids which was some fun camping gear.
Then we headed to Cole's classroom to pick up her report card.  She of course, had to make a special card for her special teacher :)
If I may brag for a quick second...this girl is CRAZY smart...sure didn't get it from her mama!  She has had a perfect report card since the second quarter and her teacher has done nothing but sing her praises from the beginning.  However, Cole, what we are more proud of than anything is the friend you were at school!  We heard story after story of you showing the kids around you the love of God!  You're a very special (and quite smart) young lady!!!
Mrs. Fitzgerald gave her the official word that she is now...a 1st grader!  YIKES!

We then headed back home to meet the babysitter and Daddy and I headed off for a nice lunch date afternoon for our anniversary and his birthday :)

Cole doesn't stay idle for long on this summer vacation! She got to work making a book and wanted to share it!

daddy's gift.

One of Daddy's birthday gifts came a day early, so the boys wanted to test it out! Thanks Nana and Papaw for all of the projects this will help with...and for the potential entertainment it may provide :)

kindergarten field trip.

We had a very busy day on the 15th!--we headed straight with the boys from pre-k graduation to the zoo for Cole's Kindergarten Zoo field trip.  It was a fun and HOT day!

Our family found a cool place to cool down for a bit...and of course snacks were involved ;)

And then headed back out for lunch with Cole's sweet class!

We were working on getting a "Kindergarten picture" but its quite difficult to get all 200+ kids in there :)

I think Cole and Makenna were discussing how hot their heads were ;)

pre-k graduation.

Camden was so excited for us to come watch him sing and he did a great job! He actually sang unlike the Christmas program :)  What a big boy!

Camden, Mommy and Daddy could not have been more proud of you this year!  You did a great job in school!!!  You learned a lot, met a lot of friends, and won over the hearts of your teachers :)  Proud of you buddy!
